Still, this Milan didn't concede much more than previous seasons but was also the most efficient in attack. Sheva, Gila, Pippo and Kaka all had double figures. If not for Puyol's dive, CL would've probably been Milan's that year.
The truth is, it's hard to go back to back, compete in those levels and win it all in and out. Even Guardiola and Barca didn't win it every year in their dominance. We didn't in the 90s, either. Consistency to win the tournament is hard enough, let alone consistency across all competitions.... And I'll be honest we struggled with consistency with that group as well
And based on your username you started following Milan in 2015 so you're not that much better I guess and how about you stfu and stop acting like a smartass.
That Liverpool should have never defeated us. Not only that but they had no job being in that final to begin with, Chelsea was a much better team but they got fucked over by the ref in the semis. That loss against Liverpool was fucking embarrassing.
Good thing we didn't bottle the final in Manchester against Juve also.
If you think this team deserved one league title and just one UCL then you're wrong my friend

What a team! Perfect balance of everything. Defense, midfield, offense. Technical, physical, mental abilities. Leadership, passion, grit. Group of legends!
This is one of the best teams to ever play the game, that was a monster team, too bad for 2004 and 2005 and 2006
The fact that the only player from the current squad who could possibly make it in the first 11 is Donnarumma, says it all. Great side and no wonder they were so successful.
look at these scrubs. mfs be dying to fill the San Siro with Borini by their side. not SEEDORF AND KAKA lmaooo. Glad we moved on from the horrible 2000s to the golden 2010s. Let’s fkn get it boys.
When good players adapted to different positions without jeopardizing quality! Jaap Stam as a right back, better than most right backs Milan had ever since.
yeah Zafira was an hell of a car
I always love how stoned Gattuso and Pirlo look in this photo lol
We had a real problem conceding headers at the time tho. That was the only weak point of this squad for some reason.
Think it was more to do with Dida and zonal marking, defending headers is infinitely better if you know your keeper could deal with crosses better.
Could be the case but also our CBs were way better attacking the zone then defending it. I remember a lot of mistakes.

I was not saying any thing negative about the team... i was just saying that for some reason Ancelotti’s Milan conceded to much from set peaces. Thats that.
Aye swings and roundabouts.
Can’t remember the formation. If Serginho is playing and Nesta and Stam also playing does that mean Maldini on the right hand side?
Stam played on the right. Nesta Maldini at CB if I recall correctly.
The real formation was with Cafu on the right, maybe he was injured when they took this pic.
Stam on the right, Nesta and Maldini cbs and Serginho left back. Though Maldini was often injured that season, so Kaladze would take his place then.
So much class in one starting 11.. unreal
Stam and Gattuso were my favorite players
And they still didn't win shit from 2004-2006
How do you let fucking Deportivo la Coruna eliminate you?
And most importantly how do you bottle a 3-0 lead at half time in the UCL final to a shitty team like that Liverpool side in 2005?
What a fucking joke! This team didn't even achieve half of what is should have achieved. Fuck Ancelotti
Say what you want about those results but at least that team had the potential of beating any team on the planet on any given day.

Someone started watching football in 2016 it seems. Him and his upvoters.

All Legends
Who played RB on this particular line up?
Most probably, Stam
Fucking hell what an army of champions
NESTAMALDINISTAM... like having De Vrij, Ramos and Koulibaly, but all three better, in the same team.
that comparison was completely out of place and useless
De Vrij shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as maldini stam or nesta, unless if you'd ask who tied there shoe laces
same for Koulibaly
De Vrij?
Certainly the best team Milan ever had.
Very debatable
