Liked ♥
First and foremost I like this movie because it was funny and it helped me reduce my stress. To be honest, I laughed a lot in this movie. In this movie, I liked the part that Mr. Bean attempts to befriend Stepan, who gets off at the next stop to meet his father. While confronting a threatening stranger who approaches Stepan, Bean accidentally misses the train’s departure, losing his bag aboard. The train that Stepan’s father has boarded does not stop at the station, and he holds up a mobile number which reads 0608080797, but the last two digits are covered by his fingers. Bean and Stepan write down the possible numbers, but their first three attempts of calling Stepan’s father prove fruitless. This showed Mr. Bean is a kind and caring person because he accompanied Stepan to find his father who can not board the train. This showed the good attitude to the viewers and educate the viewers to be kind and treat other well.
Disliked
What I dislike in this movie is I think some of the part did not educate people. For instant, he accidentally orders oysters and langoustines, disgusting the taste of oysters. He pours the oysters into a nearby lady’s handbag and eats a whole langoustine without removing the shell. He quickly escapes when the lady sees the oysters inside her bag. This should not be learned by the viewers especially the children. This is not a good attitude.
Moral /Theme
The theme that I can learn from the movie are absurdity, making mistakes and not admitting to them, ruining/taking other people’s things, lack of road-safety, and trespassing. None of these things are done with an air of maliciousness, but with a sense of the ridiculous. There is also a scene where a man is assumed to be in the middle of committing suicide when he receives a phone call, doesn’t like what he hears, and jumps off the bridge into the river. This is done for comedy’s sake and the man does not appear to be hurt, but it may bother some people so I chose to include it.
Rating
The rating of Mr. Bean’s Holiday is PG 13 ( Parents Guide) because it included different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes. This movie is suitable for families and children to watch. This is because I think this movie can bring joy to the viewers. Besides, I recommend to stress people because this movie can help to reduce stress and it was so funny and you may laugh after watching Mr. Bean’s Holiday.
