50 Hilarious Tweets That Sum Up What It’s Like Having A Sibling
The world without siblings wouldn’t be the same. If you’re the oldest child in the family like me, you know the price you pay for ordering the little one around. And if you’re the smallest in the pack, well, you probably know it better than me, anyway.
So in some ways, having a frenemy for life is both a blessing and sometimes a curse, but honestly, more of a blessing. Like, who else would you annoy the heck out of, or who else would you join a secret alliance with to sneak out to your friends when you know very well that you’d both be in trouble? Or who would you still say "don’t tell mom" to when you turn 50?
Siblings are for life, and these painfully spot-on sibling tweets selected by Bored Panda are proof that this life has more colors, shouting, and constant "can you lend me a (insert smth you don’t wanna lend but can’t refuse)?" moments.

To find out more about the complex dynamics of sibling relationships, Bored Panda reached out to Dr. Lise Deguire, a licensed psychologist and award-winning author of “Flashback Girl: Lessons on Resilience From a Burn Survivor.”
“When a child has a sibling, they learn from their earliest days that attention, love, and resources must be shared. Parents take care of both of them, so children have to learn to wait their turn, to share the cake, to take turns picking what to watch on TV.
”Turns out that these early lessons are the ones that help kids understand two crucial things: that other people matter and that other people have needs. “Kids with siblings also learn, early on, that they can wait now and then get what they want,” said Dr. Lise and added that “Generally, these are good life lessons for children to have.”
I do this with my partner when he has annoyed me on purpose
However, sometimes, these lessons don't go so well. According to Dr. Lise, “if parents have clear favorites, or if one child gets a disproportionate share of attention, it can be very painful and lead to long-term feelings of being inadequate, inferior, or uncared for.”
In order to avoid this, Dr. Lise recommends for families to have repeated bonding traditions that actively include all the children. For example, “Dinner time, holiday traditions, family vacations, game night.” The licensed psychologist explained that “all these are bonding opportunities to help kids feel a part of the family, hopefully in an equal way.”
Or repeat a joke we just heard because we know the other one will laugh!
I don't have siblings but I have kids...and this is SPOT ON!!!!!!
I feel that, my sister's room is right at the base of the stairs, so if you hear her walking down them, you're done for
I got this a few times with my younger brother. We have even been asked if we are twins. Our birthday is the same day except I am 3 years older.
No, no you don’t. Something I have definitely experienced. Another one is my middle brother hiding around the corner with our universal remote sneakily changing the channels, volume or turning the tv off. Bloody rat bag.
I just had my friend connect his controller, and have my friend play, and my little sister would think she was playing, I still do it, but it's only when my roommate is there
I do this all the time. I'm about to pop at the seams but I'll eat just so my siblings won't finish it.
I tell the one being copied to just stay silent. The one who was copying will get bored in a few seconds.
Being locked in cupboard by twin older siblings = massive fear of spiders and avoiding them
Sometimes I feel like my parents give 99% of their love to my 5 year old brother and the other 3 of us fight for the last one percent

Unrelated to the post: I know everyone is angry because the bots/trolls keeps downvoting good comments! But I’m positive BP will do something about it soon! Also: there is a user my the name of Amelija Janavicius who is extremely racist and uses the N-word in every comment. She claims she works for BP and that’s why she isn’t blocked. I’m not sure how to report her, but if you do, please share! Finally, to the bots and trolls: I do not, I repeat DO NOT care if this comment is downvoted and/or hidden. Thank you.
I have...a horrible "bond" with my sibling, and he only gives me pain. These were quite nice to read because it shows me that I'm not wrong when I say he's an asshole.
I can’t even be in a room with my sibling without witnesses. You start to question your sanity and yourself when they are good at manipulation and spinning tales...we are better off taking care of ourselves than trying to repair broken relationships with awful people. Load More Replies...
This! People need to cut loose unhealthy humans and concentrate on solid relationships.
I'm not sure why you've got so many downvotes. People generally don't seem to understand what it's like to genuinely not get along with your siblings. It's not like in the films where they apparently always make up / come to an agreement eventually because they are brothers. My sibling didn't come to my wedding because "I didn't consult them to check if they were free" a year in advance.
I don't think people downvoted me because of my comment, there are some bots on bored Panda that just mass downvote all comments on the post :( it's very annoying And I totally get you! We are better off without those kind of siblings ! I hope your wedding was amazing!

ive already contacted bp staff, nothing back yet though Load More Replies...
I am pretty sure "she" is a "he" and they definitely don't work at bored panda. They talk s**t because they are pathetic and this is apparently the only way they can feel good about themselves? Boredpanda will remove their comments, but if the commenting happens during the weekend it will take a little while for the situation to be corrected. I do not know why the account's ability to post has not been suspended outright
It is a troll copying a BP team members name. I contacted the BP team and the last I checked they have deleted all their comments. This was yesterday, this is the profile and you can see the comments section is now empty https://www.boredpanda.com/author/masood767/
Cool. Thanks for the info!!
Yes! I have seen her commenting and being rude and racist
