Anthropormorphic simply means ANYTHING that is not human morphed into human form (or possessing a human personality.) It could be a chair, an animal, a banana, an M&M. Literally anything.
"Furry" just refers to animals being anthro. However, the animal does not have to have fur. Its just a term. Snakes lizards, and dragons ect can also belong in the furry fandom because they are still anthro animals.
So they basically mean the same thing, but you'd use them in different contexts. Lets say for instance you're watching a pixar cartoon and you see an inanimate object with legs and arms walking and talking, you'd say 'hey, that table (or whatever) is anthro!" but you wouldn't say "hey that chair (or whatever) is a furry!"
and thats the difference.
Anthro Furry

"Furries" is usually a definition used for art or cosplay with a sexual (and often negative amongst people outside of the fandom) connotation. Many people claim to hate or prosecute people who identify themselves as part of the furry fandom, who also can call themselves furries. Anthro animals are any and every animal with human qualities, clothing, expressions, etc. Simba from the Lion King could be considered an anthro, but he isn't a furry. Furries are anthros but not all anthros are furries.

Anthro is just short for anthropormorphic. Anthropormorphic means to take something that is not human and morph it into human form, giving it arms, legs, a face, and a personality. ANYTHING could be anthropormorphic. An m&m, a chair, a snowman, a puppet. Do a google image search for anthropormorphic. the first thing that comes up is a dresser with arms and legs. The term "furry" just refers to ANIMALS that are anthropormorphic. say you're watching a Pixar film and you see a talking lamp or a talking dresser. One would say "hey, that dresser is anthro!" but you wouldn't say "hey, that dresser is a furry!!" And that's the difference.

Removing technicality from the context-
in general conversation with people who know what in God's name you're talking about to begin with, a humanlike creature with more human proportions (arms, legs, bipedal, etc.) but some animal traits (ears, a tail, some fur) would be called an "anthro".
A "furry anthro" would usually refer to a creature that has more physical animal traits than human.
Example-
"She's a cat anthro.": http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/xo_dirty_li...
"That character is a cat furry." :http://rentmovie.com/movie-posters/cat-girl-nuku-n...

In the art work, it's actually the same term.
In Cosplay (where you dress up) an Anthro has more human proportions in the arms, legs and torso.
